Writing Wonders July 2023

I am going to answer this month's Writing Wonders prompts - albeit belated! - with a character I haven't yet written, as a means of getting to know him and his world. Jack Desforges is an ostler and part-time smuggler in early Nineteeth century Lincolnshire. So far I have some details of his life pinned down but I need to flesh out his character, relationships, and history much more and this seemed like an interesting way of doing that.*

* When I used an existing character for a previous month's prompts, I discovered all kind of things I never knew about him before!
